Marie Claire asked me to photograph Bella Johnston, holding a photo of her friend Brooke Richardson, who was the first person in Victoria to to die from texting and driving. The article was a sober investigation into a growing problem.

Police believe Brooke dropped her phone on the car floor and as she took her eyes off the road to retrieve it, her car slammed head-first into that tree in the photo below, killing her instantly.
